Summer News
It’s an absolute scorcher here today, and the horses and our team are thriving in the sunshine. Whilst most of the horses are enjoying their Summer break, we do still have a small team of runners in training, and plenty of breakers and youngsters to keep us busy. The Summer months are also the ideal time to get on top of all the maintenance jobs and get the yard deep cleaned, painted and freshened up ready for the season ahead. We’re constantly looking at ways to improve our facilities year on year, and we make good use of our quieter weeks to get the wheels in motion.
We enjoyed a wonderful day at Chepstow last Monday for the Jamie’s Farm Charity Raceday. It was a pleasure to have Lee, Dan and Lauren representing us riding in the charity race aboard Faded Fantasy, Unspeakable and Montgomery, and a real delight to see Lee & Faded cross the line in front! Lee is such a huge part of our team and to see the buzz he got from the day gave us great satisfaction. He won’t be living it down anytime soon! A huge thank you once again to the owners for allowing their horses to take part.
Christian has had a busy few weeks searching for the next stars across the UK, Ireland and France, with a mix of sales and private purchases.
He’s delighted with the purchases he’s made, and next seasons stock are looking like real quality. We all love seeing the new arrivals land in the yard, and it’s very exciting to consider which might be stars of the future.
If you would like details of any of them which are for sale, please do contact Christian 07702896759.
We haven’t got too many to run at the moment but we do head to Newton Abbot tomorrow evening with Danny’s Friend, Unspeakable and Illogical Logic. We love Newton Abbot and hopefully it’ll have cooled down a little by the time they run!
Plans are also well underway for our 2026 Owners Day - invites to follow soon! We can’t wait to have everyone together and look forward to the season ahead.
The horses on their Summer breaks are looking great and seem very content indeed! It’s bliss wandering the fields after work and they are all enjoying their cattle friends too.
As always you are more than welcome to visit us anytime, especially now the weather has improved!
