Spring has sprung!

A wonderful few weeks of sunshine and winners!

As the days grow longer and the warmth of spring begins to settle in, there’s a noticeable lift in everything around the yard. The fresh grass, the brighter mornings, and the welcome return of sunshine all seem to put a real spring in our step - both horses and humans!

It’s no secret our horses always seem to come into their own in the Spring. You can see it in their coats, and their enthusiasm for their work. It’s been a long, wet winter, but this time of year allows them to thrive both physically and mentally.

There’s also a renewed sense of optimism throughout the team, and when the sun is shining it really is the best job in the world! The sun lifts spirits, sharpens our focus and reminds us why we love what we do.

We head into April full of positivity and anticipation.

The horses continue in great form, and we’ve enjoyed plenty of winners over the last few weeks.

PLANNED PARADISE took out the North Wales National at Bangor on 25th February in very impressive fashion for owners The Paradise Mob and Jack Tudor. He then went on to win the Hexham Marathon Handicap Chase a month later and was our first winner at Hexham! What a superb horse he’s been for his small group of owners.

HOUSE OF HABSBURG made it 3 from 3 at Warwick on 8th March for Whites Property Limited and Robert James. He did it in fine style once again and he looks a lovely horse indeed for next season.

KAP DE TRIOMPHE put a rather disappointing few runs behind him when winning at Plumpton on 16th March for patient owners Two’s A Crowd. He ran a nice enough race over fences since but it looks like hurdles are his game for now and hopefully he can win another before long.

Lovely FEVER DREAM won the Challenger Staying Chase Series Final at Warwick on 26th March in very impressive style under Jack Tudor. His owners had to be patient when things didn’t quite go his way at the end of last year, but they were well rewarded and it’s wonderful to see him back in form.

Fever’s win also took our career prize money to over £3million - for a yard with under 30 stables and only a few years under our belt, this feels like a very special achievement. Thank you to our owners, staff, sponsors and supporters for helping us get there. We hope earning the next £3million is as fun!

Bangor-on-Dee is proving our lucky track this season and we celebrated another winner there yesterday with Three Zambezi’s winning well for loyal, patient owners. Thank you Bangor for providing a phenomenal owners experience yet again - full credit to the track, we love having runners there, and winners are even better.

Last month we celebrated our Head Girl Ellie making the finals of the Thoroughbred Industry Employee Awards with a lavish awards ceremony at Ascot Racecourse. The night was a wonderful way to give back to some of the most dedicated individuals in racing, and we are very proud of Ellie finishing runner up in her category and walking away with £2000 prize money, plus £2000 going to the yard. The awards are sponsored by Godolphin and their support plays a vital role in celebrating and encouraging excellence in racing across the world. It is greatly appreciated not only by those nominated, but by the wider industry as a whole. Thank you to all involved, and well done Ellie.

We are also very proud of both Dewi Haddock and Jimmy Munro for riding their first point to point winners last month. It really is wonderful to have such keen and talented youngsters on our team and they will be the future in years to come. Well done boys!

We loved having Chris & Bryony and their family down to visit us last weekend from 4Louis Charity. 4Louis are an incredible charity who support families through miscarriage, still birth and child loss. Their work is inspiring and we look forward to supporting them plenty over the coming years.

We’re looking forward to supporting the Richard Layton Charity Raceday at Hereford on Thursday 16th April - it’s set to be a great evening for some very important causes. More details available here https://www.hereford-racecourse.co.uk/whats-on/richard-layton-charity-raceday-2026 - tell your friends and see you there!

We hope to catch up with many of you at Aintree, fingers crossed the sun will be shining! And the horses can continue in good form.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
