Goliath du Berlais has made an exceptional start to his stallion career, he was France’s leading sire of 3-year- olds with his very first crop and then confirmed his position at the top by becoming the leading sire with his first crop of 4-year-olds the following season. A top-class performer himself, Goliath du Berlais was unbeaten at four, winning four consecutive Graded races at Auteuil culminating in the Grade 1 Prix Ferdinand Dufaure. As the sire of multiple top-level performers, including Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Al Boum Photo, Buck’s Boum continues to produce horses capable of competing at the very highest level over obstacles.

He made a very pleasing start to his career when placed a very promising 4th first time out in a hot maiden point to point at Dromahane for handler Brian Hassett. All of his best work came in the closing stages, shaping like a horse who is going to make into a cracking staying chaser in time, just the type we excel with. Horses from this particular source usually improve considerably from their debuts and he has thrived since joining us.

An exciting and completely unexposed 3-year-old by Magic Dream, a young French stallion with an outstanding National Hunt pedigree and a particularly interesting profile for the future. A son of the hugely influential Saint des Saints, Magic Dream comes from one of the most sought-after sire lines in National Hunt racing. Saint des Saints has been responsible for an exceptional number of top-class performers and has also established himself as an increasingly important influence through his sons at stud.

Out of Fiction, Night Dream is a well-bred young prospect with all of her racing ahead of her. Her combination of a proven French National Hunt sire line and an attractive maternal pedigree makes her an exciting horse to follow as she develops.

An exciting 4-year-old filly by Idaho, the Grade 1-winning son of Galileo who has made an impressive start as a National Hunt sire. Purple Fountain made her debut in what is always a very good Maiden at Bartlemy - there have been plenty of good horses graduating from this race. She jumped and travelled well throughout, only giving best late on to a highly regarded winner.

That performance suggests she has plenty of natural ability and significant scope for improvement with experience. With proven point-to-point form and an attractive National Hunt pedigree, Purple Fountain looks an exciting prospect to progress under Rules and a lovely opportunity for a new owner.

A very likeable 4-year-old by the outstanding National Hunt sire Blue Bresil, sire of the exceptional Constitution Hill and a remarkable collection of Grade 1 performers including Blue Lord, Royale Pagaille, L’Autonomie and Inthepocket. He is out of Starryeyesurprise, a young mare who is proving to be a brilliant broodmare from only a small sample of runners. She is herself by the late Fame And Glory, another hugely respected influence in National Hunt pedigrees, giving this horse plenty of quality on both sides of his page. We have always thought a great deal of this horse, and liked him so much we went back to the Arkle sale to purcahse his full 3 year old brother this year.

He is a scopey, athletic individual with a great presence, possessing all the attributes we look for in a young horse. With an outstanding National Hunt pedigree and plenty of physical development still to come, he has all the makings of a lovely prospect for the future.

Out of Starryeyesurprise, a young mare by the late Fame and Glory who is proving a talented broodmare from a small number of runners. This youngster is a full brother to the 4-year-old we purchased last year. We liked his older brother so much that when the opportunity arose to purchase this horse the following year, we were very keen to secure him too.

BY POET’S WORD OUT OF CARA MARA

A very good-looking 4-year-old filly by Poet’s Word, an increasingly exciting National Hunt sire whose progeny continue to make their mark. The Rarest Hour has shown significant promise in two strong Irish maiden point-to-points, jumping particularly well and showing plenty of natural ability. On her debut she was 4th to the very well regarded “Palinca” who sold for £400,000 at Tattersalls Cheltenham Festival Sale.

A filly who jumps for fun, she also boasts a very strong pedigree which should stand her in excellent stead for a successful career under Rules. With valuable experience behind her and plenty of improvement to come, she looks an exciting prospect for the seasons ahead.

MAHLER x QUEEN ELLA

A 5yo daughter of Mahler with a nice pedigree. She shaped with a degree of promise on her only start in her maiden point-to-point at the renowned Loughanmore, when finishing an eye catching 4th behind Lennon Grove. She hit the front at the second last, and just got run out of it close home. The second horse went on to sell for 100,000 euro. She looks the type to take a huge step forward when sent under rules.
