Variety is the Spice of Life
Despite limited racing opportunities over the last fortnight, the yard continues in good form and it’s been wonderful to celebrate winners at two major tracks.
With “the big freeze” causing havoc at meetings across the country, our runners have been thin on the ground in the last fortnight. That made Egbert’s victory at Haydock on 30th December all the more satisfying. It meant a great deal to train a first Winner for huge supporters of NH racing, James & Jean Potter, rewarding their enthusiasm and dedication with a classy performance, full of promise.
It’s great to have Mr & Mrs Potter in the yard and we hope Egbert is the first of many winners we train for them.
We were all Kempton bound today after Warwick sadly lost their card, and Williethebuilder gave us plenty of reasons to smile adding another win to his CV, and defying an 8lb rise in pleasing style for Owner Susan Carsberg.
Both horses have clearly relished the change of scenery, and are enjoying our unique routine.
We are very proud of the operation we have developed here, utilising natural facilities to create a varied routine, and building a strong team of horsemen and women to deliver the highest standards of horse care and welfare.
Thank you to all of our team who continue to deliver day in day out, whatever the weather! It’s been a cold, wet and windy couple of weeks and we’re delighted your hard work has been rewarded with a few nice winners.
Willie will be swimming in the river in the morning!
