Happy times ahead.

We love this time of year. Many of the jumpers are coming back into work from their Summer holidays, the newest arrivals from overseas have settled in and our lovely group of 3yos have progressed so much and are schooling away beautifully.

We enjoyed a double at Worcester earlier in the month, courtesy of Faded Fantasy for Sue Howell, and Fever Dream for Richard Bedford, Ian Marmion and Diana Noel. Despite only having a small team of horses throughout the Summer, it’s wonderful to see them continue to run well and get a head start on Winners before the jumps season kicks off properly.

We have a couple of busy days of entries at the end of this week before a 3 week break in the jump racing calendar - entries include two of our CWR Club horses, Master Muggins & Sincerely Me. Intake in our club memberships have been incredibly popular and we’re really looking forward to making a start with these two lovely young horses. It’s easy to join and only £300 a year - CLICK HERE and you could be coming racing with us this week!

It was wonderful to support our local Bridgend Show last weekend, with Deep Cave and Cap du Nord parading to the public. Thanks to everyone who came to see them and have a chat with us. We look forward to supporting the event again next year.

We’re delighted to be opening our doors for National Racehorse Week this year. Our Open Day takes place on Tuesday 26th August 2025 and you can sign up on this link - https://nationalracehorseweek.uk/yard/85064/ - although spaces are very limited!

Away from the yard it’s been a very special week, with Betsy ringing the bell on Monday - surrounded by all our family and many of the doctors and nurses who we owe everything to. As a family, and a yard, hopefully we can look forward to many happy times ahead.
