Racing Club

OUR AIMS

The Christian Williams Racing Club has been formed to enable members to experience the thrill of being closely involved with three racehorses but at a very affordable price. Club members will feel the enjoyment of being an owner and the thrill of winning races.

THE HORSES

There will be three horses in the Racing Club who should run regularly throughout the year. All three are owned by Christian Williams but will run under the name of the “Christian Williams Racing Club” and are offered to club members on a free lease agreement. At the end of your membership period all three horses return to the ownership of Christian Williams.

DURATION OF MEMBERSHIP

Your contractual membership period is 12 months.

NUMBER OF MEMBERS

The maximum amount of club members at any one time will be 30.

STABLE VISITS

There will be two organised stable visits per annum for club members to enjoy. Christian will try to find suitable dates with some racing taking place locally so that you can make a full day of the occasion. You can watch the horses work on the gallop and beach, tour the yard to meet the horses up close and chat with Christian. Light refreshments will be provided.

RACEDAY OWNERS BADGES

Club members will receive one owners badge each time a club horse runs. This badge gives free entry to the racecourse and entry to all owners areas. But we are bound by individual racecourse rules relating to badge allocation and, therefore, should the number of badge requests outnumber our allocation a ballot will take place.

The ballot will be managed by Christian Williams with owners badges spread evenly across the club members throughout the year.

You are welcome to bring a guest to the track but your complimentary owners badge is non transferable. To keep numbers manageable only club members are allowed into the parade ring.

PRIZE MONEY

All net prize money won by the horses within your 12 month membership period will be shared without deduction evenly across all club members. Prize money will be paid in one sum to coincide with the termination of your membership period. Each time a horse wins prize money you will be advised how much it has won.

NEWSLETTER

Club members receive a regular newsletter detailing news about your three horses. This would include entry plans, jockey updates and other stable information of interest.

INJURY

Should any horse suffer a season ending injury Christian Williams will attempt to find a suitable replacement for the remainder of the membership term. If this cannot be achieved club members will receive a discount on their monthly subscription.

COST AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE

There are two ways to pay your racing club subscription

  • Upon entry you would pay an initial sum of £90 to join the Racing Club and then 11 further payments of £90.

You can make an advanced payment of £900 to join the Racing Club and pay no more over the 12 month membership term. Should you take this option, the saving is £180.

Should a club member fail to pay their monthly subscription their membership will cease immediately with no prize money payable. In exceptional circumstances (serious illness or injury) Christian Williams will speak with the club member to agree a suitable path forward regarding this club members personal membership.

RACING CLUB MANAGEMENT

The racing club will be managed by Christian Williams. He will have control of all race entries, declarations and jockey bookings. Christian will be at the races to meet you in the parade ring and guide you through the day.
