The next Kitty’s Light?
The Stepping Stones Syndicate was set up earlier this year, to give more people the chance to experience racehorse ownership with us - but for a fraction of the cost.
Horses in the syndicate are divided into 5% shares, so syndicate owners pay 5% of the initial cost of the horse (this varies) plus 5% of training fees - which are £1800 a year.
We arrange stable visits for all syndicate owners to meet each other, and it’s wonderful to see the friendships which have formed already in a short space of time. It’s a great way to meet like minded people and share a common passion!
You will have the chance to visit our beautiful and unique training operation - watch the horses on the beach, wading through the rivers and rolling in the fields. Meet our expert team who care for them everyday, and enjoy breakfast and coffee with Christian.
Every syndicate owner gets the chance to go racing when the syndicate horse runs - make use of the Owners and Trainers facilities, meet our jockey and be part of the team talks in the parade ring.
Owners are invited to participate in a WhatsApp group where they receive regular, informative updates from Christian and our team of the absolute highest quality. You’re always so close to the action!
Our first syndicate horse “Bombay Pete” sold out in 3 weeks, and made his first start in a bumper at Worcester last week. We couldn't have been happier with his performance, finishing 5th and staying on well all the way to the line. He will have learnt loads and is a very exciting horse going into next season after a Summer at grass to grow and fill into his frame.
Our second syndicate horse is an Unnamed 3YO by the great Nathaniel (sire of Kitty’s Light,) and out of the very talented mare Lifeboat Mona. He is the pick of our youngsters - a lovely straightforward individual who is impressing us all at home. We have a handful of shares left in him and his syndicate runs from 1st June.
He has been schooling away beautifully for Jack at home and is a complete natural (video below.) He will keep cantering away for another few weeks and we hope to get him away for an educational racecourse gallop soon. There is a nice Junior Hurdle Program which commences in October and he will be the ideal candidate for that.
His 4yo brother ran in the same race as Bombay Pete at Worcester last week - finishing 2nd, and was 3rd on his previous start - they look a very talented family indeed and we’re so excited for the future with this classy youngster.
Shares are priced at £1500 initial share price - plus training fees of £1800 upfront for the year, or £180 paid monthly.
All Owners receive their share of prize money, and will also have the opportunity to name him!
